Business travellers have easier access to find their preferred hotel in Traveloka Hotel, there are early signs of being adopted by business traveller users. However, due to unprecedented COVID pandemic, the amount of travellers is significantly reduced and we yet to see the actual increase on business travellers until the travel industry recovered.
Earlier in the year in 2019, we conducted a study to understand more about the behaviour, journey, and pain points of business travellers during their business trips. In this study, we found that business travellers (both end users and bookers) have very specific needs when it comes to searching and booking accommodation for their business trips. Specific business activities along with company regulations are some of the most prominent factors that influence their preferences. We found there is a need for business travellers to be able to quickly find accommodations that suit these specific needs and company regulations. We have come up with several opportunities to solve this problem, however we have yet to conceptualise how we are going to build on these opportunities.
While Traveloka also have corporate account that serve business traveller through their company account and have agreement in place, it require the company to arrange a contract with Traveloka to enable corporate account and enable all the feature enabled for corporate account.
But there are also high number of travellers that do business trip that book their accommodation without corporate account, also there are many Traveloka users that book accommodation for someone else that make the business trip. We aim to make those users to have better experience finding accommodation for their business trip and booking in Traveloka, and increase the number of recurring booking that so often the case for business travellers.
With this project, we want to make users are able to find the accommodations that suit their needs as business travellers, according to their preferences and company regulations and able to make repeated booking easily without having to go through the whole process every time.
